Classics for All North combines several regional networks of the larger UK charity, Classics for All, comprising the NW, NE, Blackpool and Yorkshire. We encourage the teaching of Classical subjects in state schools, to expand opportunities for pupils and raise aspirations. We believe that every child deserves to benefit from the learning, enjoyment and inspiration that Classics offers.

Classical subjects (Latin, Greek, Ancient History and Classical Civilisation) are accessible to all students, are suitable for primary and secondary schools, whether timetabled, enrichment or extracurricular. They help with our understanding of the world, improve our knowledge of English, provide a great basis for learning other languages, and enrich our lives immeasurably.

We provide FREE advice, support and training to primary and secondary schools, to strengthen existing Classics or introduce it to new schools. We can enhance training of specialise and non-specialist teachers and we also support and work with established Classics departments. Finally, we run our own Greek Academy, teaching Classical Greek to state-school students in Liverpool.
We work throughout the North of England with state schools and colleges in all sectors - primary, secondary, Sixth Form and FE - helping to introduce or expand delivery of Classics (Latin, Greek, Classical Civilisation, Ancient History) at all Key Stages.
